TEXT:
Revelation 2:24 24 But unto you I say, and unto the rest in Thyatira, as many as have not this doctrine, and which have not known the depths of Satan, as they speak; I will put upon you none other burden.
"Now of the thing which we have spoken this is the sum: We have such an High Priest, who is set on the Right Hand of the Throne of the Majesty in the Heavens...But now has He obtained a more excellent Ministry, by how much also He is the Mediator of a Better Covenant, which was established upon better Promises" (Heb. 8:1-6)
"But into the second tabernacle went the High Priest alone once every year, not without blood which he offered for himself, and for the errors of the people." (Heb. 9:7)
This was the Old Testament situation that Paul was reviewing, where the High Priest went annual before God to beg mercy for the sins of Israel. He then stated:
"For Christ is not entered into the Holy Places made with hands (which were in physical existence during Old Testament days), which are the figures of the true (which only represent the throne of God); but into Heaven itself, now to appear in the Presence of God for us" (Heb. 9:24).
Does that make a person's flesh tingle? In essence, Paul completed this thought by saying: "And to Jesus the Mediator of the New Covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaks better things than that of Abel" (Heb. 12:24).
The seven churches were chosen by the Holy Spirit! And portray the entirety of the church age.
